OUR STORY
This land has been in our family for generations, the Porter Family operated a dairy farm that ran for generations most of the 600 acres of land is still owned by the grandchildren. you will see old farmhouses and barns on the property that are some of the families homes. We love this land it is a magical place and a wonderful way to raise a family. we invite you to experience the Vermont way of life and welcome you into our family. we take pride in our land and community and would love to help you enjoy it to the fullest.
We purchased the property from the family trust in 2011 at which point we built a garage for a diesel Mechanic shop and the following year built our home on the property. Lisa has always had horses and Cliff was raised on the farm where he helped his grandfather with the dairy cattle. we decided to purchase some beef cattle to help keep the land clear. we currently have 13 head of cattle 2 horses a mini horse and 8 laying hens. we produce the hay to feed the animals as a family and maintain the fences and pasture.
Farming is unfortunately not as profitable as it once was, so we decided to build a few houses to rent and share this amazing area with you! we are very excited to have this opportunity to share the land we love.
